Poems of Sympathy
Our Loved Ones remain in hearts and minds Despite how pain deceives. The cherished times are eternal, Shared joys never leave.

We all know you’re lost And that you’re in pain, That you’re looking for light, And it seems all in vain
We’re all sharing your grief You’re at the front of our minds We’ll give what we can, Our strength and our time.
And in time you will start To accept the sorrow, To put yesterday back Alongside tomorrow.

In this time where love’s been lost, Grief can’t be ignored. But don’t forget the smiles and joy The two of you adored.
The joy you shared is eternal For the love one who has gone The brightness gifted by your life Will go forever on.
So consider with your sorrow The happiness bestowed By you on our special much loved friend, Our gratitude is owed.

We’ll never know why some things are, Why they should come to be. Why fate can deal the cruelest blows Ignorant of the debris. All we can do is keep what’s left And treasure what we’ve known And tell others who have loved and lost; Our loves never leave us alone.

Far beyond tomorrow, Some time down the line Pain becomes fond sorrow With the passage of much time.
It’s not about forgetting The one that’s gone away, It’s remembering their love for you And their wish that love lights your days.
